Our semi-independent

Our semi-independent provision provides a service to young people aged 16+ male and female unit with 24-hour support and guidance. We offer emergency, short and long term placements to young people who require targeted support who may be looked after children or young people leaving home who are ready to move to semi-independence. Our strategy incorporates a holistic approach drawing on a number of theories and models to engage effectively with young people.

A significant part of our work involves using the Social Graccess Model which supports our holistic approach to every young person’s needs. By examining aspects of our identities we can think about how they shape our perspectives and actions. If we can talk about this, then we can work on eliminating or minimizing implicit biases in our professional practice
